quotation for soil investigation for construction of rcc over head water tank in troops line area sqae ( a ) and lpr khamaria , carrying out soil investigation for construction of water tank , water sump , pump house and details: , geotechnical investigation and sub soil exploration by mechanical drilling of 150mm dia holes at required locations upto a minimum depth of 10 . 00m or hard rock profile from the existing ground level , testing for sbc , soil/soft rock profile/hard rock profile , sub soil water pressure etc . the total numbers of bore holes may range from minimum of 10 rm and up to max of 30rm . the quotation must be per rm rate and the total amount payable will be measured as per work done . note : ( i ) approx 40 rm are incorporated with minimum 10 rm boreholes ( ii ) sbc shall be determined at 1m interval upto 15 m depth or hard rock for each bore ( iii ) reports shall be submitted for project in hard copy 04 nos and soft copy 02 nos . ( iv ) rate mentioned for above should include drilling bore holes , determining sbc and providing following inputs as mentioned at ser no 1 ( a ) to ( e ) and submission of report including mobilisation of t & p: , ( a ) m&l to conduct standard penetration test ( spt ) in any type of soil upto minimum depth of 10 . 00 mtr and max 15 . 00 mtr as directed and as per is 2131 1981 with collection of disturbed/undisturbed soil , sample for conducting of various test as per is 2132 2186 . carrying out analysis of field/lab test to arrive at sbc of soil including total settlement characteristic of soil , recommended foundation ( shallow or pile ) in the form of soil investigation for 10 , 000 gallon capacity over head tank of 15 mtr height from gl . , ( b ) lab tests shall consists of the following: ( i ) soil classification based on sieve analysis and liquid limit and plastic limit of soil , particle size wet and dry density , specific gravity , consolidation characteristic site natural moisture content . ( b ) cohesion ( c ) angle of internal friction ( i ) un drained test ( uu ) ( ii ) consolidated drained test ( cd ) ( iii ) consolidated un drained test ( cu ) ( ii ) c value form an un confined test equipment clayey soil in met ( iii ) swelling index and swelling pressure test . ( iv ) chemical test on soil like ph value chloride/sulphate contents etc . ( v ) level of water table , ( c ) field test ( i ) 150mm dia bore for : ( ii ) standard penetration test ( stp ) for all type of soils with collection of disturbed soil sample . ( iii ) collection of disturbed/undisturbed samples and indication of water table level at the time of soil investigation . , ( d ) format of soil investigation report: ( i ) introduction ( ii ) object of investigation ( iii ) scope of work/project details ( iv ) field investigations , different field tests ( v ) laboratory investigation/different lab test ( vi ) soil profile/bore log details ( vii ) method of computing safe bearing capacity/pile capacity ( viii ) sbc from field test like spst tests . ( ix ) sbc from lab test like direct shear test ( x ) sbc from settlement criteria ( settlement calculations shall be given considering specific ( xi ) discussion and type of foundation ( xii ) final recommendation of sbc ( xiii ) any other suggestion , precautionary measures for improvement of sbc ( if required graphs , table calculations ) ( xiv ) typical calculation for safe bearing ( xv ) site plan , indicating location of field test and sample collection ( xvi ) bore logs indicating type of soil and classification c&q value , cc ( xvii ) laboratory test results in tabular form ( xviii ) test results on rock core if drilling was done in rock ( xix ) tri axial & direct shear graps/consolidation ( xx ) typical elastic/consolidation settlement ( xxi ) load vs settlement graphs .
